Salim Road Between 6th Ring Road and Salmi Border

SALMI ROAD BETWEEN 6TH RING ROAD AND SALMI BORDER

Project:     Contract EF/R/194 comprises improvements to the existing
Salmi Road between the 6th Ring Road and the Salmi Border
Crossing in the far west of the State. The existing Salmi Road is
approximately 100km long within the project limits and in the main
comprises dual 2 lane carriageway construction with hard shoulders
and a wide central median. A number of at grade junctions provide
access to existing communities and other developments along the
route. Turning movements are catered from by U-turns in the median.
Proposed improvements are likely to include widening and
strengthening of the road to suit planned usage; the construction of a
number of interchanges to serve existing and proposed
developments; and safety improvements to the roads.
